Stavanger Gospel Company’s Christmas concerts have become a cherished tradition.
Over the past 15 years, the choir—together with guest artists such as Carola, Ole Edvard Antonsen, Ingebjørg Bratland, Halvdan Sivertsen, Anita Skorgan, Sigvart Dagsland, Ole Paus, Heine Totland, Egil Svartdahl, Tomas Sjödin, and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra—has delivered unforgettable experiences to audiences. From grand and majestic to intimate and minimalist. Laughter and tears. Packed concerts with up to 2,600 attendees have created a sense of intimacy and atmosphere that you can truly feel. These concerts have become some of the most popular Christmas events in the Stavanger region.

This year, the choir will once again hold its Christmas concert at Stavanger Concert Hall, in the Kuppelhallen. The theme of the concert is “Longing.” Once again, the choir will be joined by wonderful guests. The renowned Svein Tindberg and a large symphonic ensemble led by Bjarte Mo from the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Svein Tindberg is one of Norway’s most acclaimed actors, known for his work at Det Norske Teatret and performances on stages across the country. His hit productions—The Gospel of MarkThe Acts of the ApostlesAbraham’s ChildrenEsau and Jacob, and The God Particle—have played to sold-out audiences everywhere, seen by tens of thousands. A truly remarkable storyteller, Tindberg is also an author and director.

Tindberg’s unique ability to convey emotion will naturally leave its warm mark on the concert. And with a theme like “Longing,” nothing could be more fitting than the sensitive tones of the symphony.

Stavanger Gospel Company—together with guests, band, and soloists—will offer the audience moments and experiences that span the full emotional spectrum. Always with the message of Christmas placed firmly at the center. The repertoire ranges from traditional to newly written Christmas songs.

Don’t miss this year’s major Christmas concert event.
