Thor Haavik shares the Easter gospel together with SGCompany and several of the region’s finest choirs and soloists.
In the last 20 years, Christmas and its message have been prominently featured in Norwegian churches and concert halls, while the message of Easter receives very little attention in the same places. SGCompany now aims to contribute to shifting the focus not only towards what happened in Bethlehem but also towards what happened in Jerusalem. We are joined by several of the region’s choirs and soloists, who, together and individually, sing songs related to Easter. There will also be community singing.
Haavik shares his thoughts and reflections on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. Between the segments, songs related to the theme will be sung, and we will celebrate communion together.
In addition to the concert in Stavanger, there will be two additional concerts in the days leading up to the main event. The first one will take place in Tau at Tau church, and the second one in Haugesund at Misjonskirken. This provides even more opportunities for community and sharing the Easter message through inspirational music and reflections. We hope to see you at one of these unique concert experiences where we can collectively celebrate the significance of Easter and create memories for our community.
