Our dear friend from Chicago – Cinque Cullar – is heading for Stavanger, Norway at the end of October. We met Cinque on one of our USA-tours. He invited us to sing in St. Sabina Church where he is the Director of Youth Ministry. We invited him to take part of our great gospel festival; THIS IS GOSPEL.
This time we’re just gonna hang around and do some rehearsals with the choir. Maybe write some songs…? Cinque is also going to take part of the KGF (Karmøy Gospel Festival). Cinque is an artist, producer and director. At 14, Cinque became a member of the world-renowned Soul Children of Chicago. With the choir, Cinque emerged as a powerful song leader, both spiritually and vocally.
Cinque has toured Europe singing backup for Jessy Dixon, a pioneer in gospel music. Cinque Cullar is also a sought after workshop clinician, he conducts Youth, Praise and Worship and Leadership workshops across the nation. Cinque started the group The Tribe of Judah at Alabama State University in 1997. Since its inception, the group has traveled the country having the opportunity to perform at some of the most prominent churches in the nation and has shared the stage with such greats as, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Tye Tribbet, Donald Lawrence, LaShun Pace, Brian Mcknight and many others. Cinque now resides in Chicago, IL. There are also, talks of a possible solo deal on the table for Mr. Cullar….
